Pray for Me Sign-Up
August 8, 2021 to September 5, 2021
We are offering the opportunity to pray intentionally for our youth and children through Pray for Me. We believe in the effectiveness of prayer and see the need for intergenerational connection. Pray for Me provides a way to tangibly do both as we follow the call of Psalm 145:4, “One generation shall commend your works to another.” I invite you to join us in linking the generations of our church community together through prayer.
My hope is that the Pray for Me campaign would have a mutual impact on those praying and those receiving prayer. I pray that we would all together, “grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:18-19)”
What is it?
The Pray for Me Campaign is rooted in the fact that God uses his Word, his people, and prayer to change the world. This ministry creates a web of intergenerational relationships and equips adult believers to pass on a sustainable faith to the next generation through prayer.
How does it work?
The Pray for Me Campaign connects multiple generations within our church by having 1-3 adult Prayer Champions commit to praying for one student or family with small children in our church for the school year.
A Prayer Champion is someone who commits to the battle for young people’s faith.
Each Prayer Champion will be given a name, specific prayer requests, and a Prayer Guide—to use daily in prayer for the spiritual growth of a young person. Prayer Champions will also regularly receive encouragement and suggestions for prayer.
How can I join?
1. Do you have a student (6th grade through college) you would like to add to the list to be assigned their own Prayer Champion(s)?
2. Do you have young children (5th grade and under) that you would like to add to the list to be assigned a family Prayer Champion(s)?
3. Do you want to become a Prayer Champion?

When do we start?
We will launch Pray for Me on Sunday, September 5. On that Sunday, each Prayer Champion will stop by a table on the front porch to receive their Prayer Guide and some information about who they will be praying for. There will also be an opportunity for youth and families with children to find out who will be praying for them. If you are unable to attend on September 5, we will coordinate a way for you to receive these materials.
